Excellent Panang Curry!. We just moved to the neighborhood (North Bernal Heights) and Pad Thai was our first dinner out. We were very impressed by the food and will most certainly return and order for delivery! The restaurant is not much to look at from the outside, but the inside has pleasant, typical Thai restaurant decor. The one area for improvement was the speed of service--it was really slow! It took us a long time to get drinks, although after that the rate of service was pretty good with the soup and food. There were only 4 other tables in the restaurant, but supposedly, the waitress said, they were filling phone orders. We started with Tom Khar Gai soup, which was delicious. It had a strong citrus flavor that went well with the coconut and spice. Our vegetarian entree, Pra Ram Long Song Pak (veggies with peanut sauce and tofu) was excellent; the vegetables were done to a crisp tender and included a nice variety. The star of the meal was the Beef Panang Curry. Their version has less sauce (which is more traditional according to the waitress), but is thicker and richer. The meat seemed like a high grade as well. They offer white or brown rice--a nice touch! The prices for this quality of food is quite a find. We'll be back!

Perfect Food, Great Prices...what else do you want?. I've been eating at Pad Thai since I was in high school and well, I'm in my 4th year of college now, so for me that's a long time. But this place is great. My favorite is the Yellow Curry with Chicken and Potatoes over rice, hits the spot everytime. And you gotta get Satay and Pad Thai noodles of course. Oh, and the BBQ Duck is to die for!!! It's definately the dish you need to order 3 of if you have a family with grown kids. My family will fight for a piece of that duck. And to finish off, the Fried Banana with Coconut Ice Cream is the perfect way to end the meal. The staff is too cute and are always super duper nice. So if you are looking for Thai food in the city, look no further! Pad Thai is the place.

Great Service! And the Crab is to die for!. These guys are just fantastic. After going there week after week for their Thai curry crab. They finally ran out of crab. They told me to leave my name with them and they will call me. As they promised, they called me everytime they have crab. Even when I left my sunglasses they called me. Wonderful people & their food is fabulous. One of my favorites is the Tilapia, and the Yarm Sai Hai Salad - Means three friends,Shrimp, pork and Beef. I love these guys! All my friends are in the know of this restaurant.

Surprisingly good!. This little spot in the misson district was a delicious surprise. We ordered the Mango Salad, a tangy and refreshing mix of seafood and fresh veggies over lime and fresh sauce to start. Very nice! The deep fried fish with fire like hot sauce over it was amazing to eat with white rice. We ordered it hot along with the eggplant and beef which hit the spot for my craving for spicy Thai food. The decor was decent but not overwhelming but service got really slow and unattentive when a large group gathered next to us, but I still recommend it.

awesome food, unpretentious place. don't be fooled by the somewhat generic name. The ingredients they use are fresh and the dishes are tasty. I see the same friendly waiter everytime I go. My only complaint is that the thai coffee is not strong and milky enough for me.
