Consistent, creative menu that won't dissappoint. Solid, consistent and creative menu that doesn't dissappoint...With a menu that changes daily you can count on some sort of rockin' pasta, a fish or two, a chicken dish and usually a steak, pork or lamb concoction. In recent visits I've had an awesome pork loin on a fenel rissotto and a golden crispy skinned chicken on top of the most insane gorgonzola red wine rissotto which I'd go back for in a heartbeat...I even check the menu online as it seems updated daily as well. Plus the unpretentious wine list offers up wines you'll see around town at twice or three times the price...so you feel like a winner just being there.

Still Great. I've been going to the Slow Club regularly for 3 years and it consistently serves wonderful food at a reasonable price. Great Burger, great drinks and a cool atmosphere. The service can leave a little to be desired, but the overall experience makes up for it. Negative reviews be damned.

The worst dining service experience of my life. I had wanted to try the much-talked-about burger. What a disappointment. The patty is far too small for the oversized bun. The spread of "aoli" on the bun is over-the-top.

But the worst part was the service! I have never been treated so rudely before in my entire life by restaurant staff. The server was condescending when I asked for a condiment, saying "didn't you read the menu? It's already on there."

Then they told us "yes" when we asked if a late-comer could be accomodated. When my friend arrived and asked for water, the server, visibly annoyed, handed him my water! That was just the beginning.

I would never go back here. The staff treated us so badly that I was humiliated as were my friends. None of us had ever received such intimidating and rude service.

Quality food at a quality price.. Upscale casual, but you pay for it. Also, very weak (non-existant) vegetarian/vegan options. Has a very nice quiet (even when packed) and candle lit atmosphere. Staff is always friendly. Bartenders seem to be universally skilled and quick. No light beer though; beware!

Decent food, average service, good atmosphere. I've dined at Slow Club several times and generally the experience has been positive, meaning the right combination of food, price, service, and atmosphere.

We dined there again last evening and the experience was not as positive as previous ones. The hostess barely acknowledged us when we walked through the door. After she finally finished her conversation with her co-worker, she marched us to a table and huffed away. No have 'have a nice dinner' or anything. Doesn't management train its staff on customer service?

Our waitress was a little better in terms of attitude, but rushed us through the meal which we did not like.

Our food was good (pot roast, black bass), however the codcake appetizer was very disappointing.

Overall I would return b/c I like the atmosphere, however management needs to do a quality of service check with the staff.

Ok place if service is not important. Good place to go for good food at a reasonable price. But, definitely not recommended if good service is important to you or if have special diet needs such as food allergies or need to deviate slightly from the printed menu because servers tend to not be very tolerant or helpful in these circumstances.

Slow. The crowd turned out older than I thought (after reading the reviews). Mid 30's. I came in for dinner and the combination of ambience & music was great. I didn't have to wait long for a table. The food took a very long time to come out, but it was great nonetheless. I wouldn't recommend this spot for a first date but going for dinner with a signficant other or friend, is perfect.

The best burger in SF.... I love this place. It has a cool vibe...yet not stuffy, very reasonable prices, great drink selection and most importantly...delicious food! My fiance and I went this past Saturday and had a great time. Since they don't take reservations, we waited for our table at the bar (about 30 minutes). When we were seated, we ordered the butter lettuce salad, burger and fries and mahi mahi. DELICIOUS. The burger alone would bring us back again. I can't wait to try their brunch!

Dream Dinner. 10:30 pm, my husband and I pulled up and parked right in front of the door, walked in and were immediately escorted to our table. It was a promising start to an excellent meal. The only problem was that by this time of night the bar was pretty packed and so it was deafeningly loud... could not hear a word he said unless he spoke right in my ear. But once the food came it didn't matter, because I was more intent on my trout than on his conversation! typical cal cuisine, but so well done... trout with white beans and red pepper aioli, he had seared ahi with lentils and tomato chutney. started with cara cara , fennel and olive salad and an antipasti plate. for dessert we shared a plate of fries... how could you skip them?!

Always a winner!. Been going to the Slow Club for for dinner for quite some time and have always had a satisfying meal. Excellent environment, excellent food, excellent value. Would go again any time. Also, decided to try it out for brunch one Sunday a couple of months ago and had the same positive experience.
