view & uploadLa Cumbre, located in San Francisco, has the best burritos, enchiladas and ice cold beers, in town! At La Cumbre, we make the freshest guacamole and our black beans are so fresh complementing La Cumbre's authentic Mexican dishes. Carne Asada, chips & salsa rice and beans, tacos, burritos and our quesadillas are just a few of the reasons why you should come to Taqueria La Cumbre! …
Cheap Mexican. The food is cold and the staff isn't all that friendly. Couple that with subpar food and you have La Cumbre. Not for me
Food as good as their commercials.
There commercials are really funny and got my attention.
Yeah to the advertising agency,
Their food is REALLY fresh and accented just right.
Everything was super clean,
which is a requirement for me.
Do not eat here!. My friends and I have gotten burritos from here in the past, but on 5/22/10, we ended up with food poisoning. We called the next day to complain, but there wasn't anybody that understood English. Don't eat here!
Never. Going. Back.. La Cumbre has been one of my favorite places for over 30 years. Hadn't been there in awhile, but stopped last night for a burrito to take home. First there was a misunderstanding about the cost, which got cleared up, but the outcome was a bit frustrating and could have been handled with more grace and good cheer. But imagine my surprise, and disappointment, when I opened my burrito at home and discovered that although I had ordered carnitas, what I had been sold was carne asada, tough, grisseley, and I don't eat beef. Might as well have tossed $7 onto the sidewalk. Couldn't eat it, had granola for dinner, after having my heart set on carnitas all afternoon. They hadn't been particularly busy - they just were operating on auto-pilot. Not my favorite anymore, and they've lost a good customer.
Editorial Review. This Mission Mexican resturant dishes out surprisingly unique options like the falafel burrito alongside the expected bean-and-rice fare.
Delcicious tacos!. Their super vegetarian tacos are delicious. Just the right combination of gaucamole, sour cream, melted cheese, soft fresh tortilla, rice, beans and salsa. The ingredients are very fresh, and everything is cheap.
El Mejor. This place should have won best burrito....I"ve never been disappointed with their super grilled chicken burrito. The meat is superior...none of that knuckely, gristley stuff you can get in other places. The overall burrito is juicy and savory. My only complaint is, they should get better chips! Theirs are too thin and often stale.
Love the whole beans! Yum!. They have the best dam fast Mexican food. I have tried just about everything there. JUST DO IT!
great and cheap. La Cumbre has great cheap eats for vegetarians and meat eaters alike, as well as healthier fare for those conscious types. Delicious!
Best Steak Burrito in Town. There was a time when this taqueria was the most popular in San Francisco. There wasn't much competition back then, though, and now this old standard falls a little flat in comparison to La Taqueria, Taqueria Cancun and Pancho Villa. Still, though, you won't find a better carne asada burrito at those up-and-comers. La Cumbre's seasoning of the meat and the special house salsa make a glorious combination, unmatched anywhere else in the Bay Area.
