I tasted cakes from at least 6 other bakers and was just not finding what I wanted for my wedding. The shop is adorable, Cecile is fun and friendly and her cakes are without a doubt the best tasting cakes I have ever tasted. During our meeting, we looked at her amazing photos and ate so much cake that we had to forego dinner. She is the best. You don't need to do any hunting when planning your wedding...you can't go wrong here. Great chocolate, banana cake...I could go on and on.

I got my fiancee's birthday cake from here. We did a picture cake. I was greatful they would even do an 8" cake, since they specialize in wedding cakes. I paid $60 for a picture cake---the most incredible looking and tasting cake I've ever seen! What a difference from the AWFUL AWFUL cake she got my from Just Desserts (see my review). Cakework is a charming samll bakery in Potrero Hill, but difinitely the BEST BAKERY IN SF. Call them before you stop by.
