In Short – Founded in 1985 with just seven clients, Project Open Hand began its work preparing and delivering daily meals to San Franciscans living with symptomatic HIV and AIDS. Now, more than 15 years later, Project Open Hand provides comprehensive nutrition services to more than 3,200 men, women and children with HIV and AIDS in San Francisco and Alameda counties.
