Just a few months ago I would have been one of the most positive reviews you could be - I went to Gary for two years. That was until... My last hair cut. I have no idea why, but he cut my hair 2 inches shorter than normal... and I only had 6 inches to start with! When did a "trim the back a little more" become "hack all my hair off so I look like a fat little boy"? Worst hair cut I have ever gotten (except maybe that time I was 5 and I let my older sister (9) cut my bangs), still, I am so disappointed that I am not going back. I am sad because I thought I finally found someone that "got my head". Guess not. **UPDATE ** I went back! It took me four months of hair growing to get my head looking normal again, but now that I give clear directions I get the hair cute I desire. I guess you just need to KNOW WHAT YOU WANT!
Pros: Cut my hair well for about a year
Cons: If you don't know and say EXACTLY what you want he will cut all your hair off

Snuggled in Russian Hill, the petite salon maintains its unassuming demeanor even after Gary puts the finishing touches on your now-gorgeous locks, which definitely warrant boastfulness. Having experienced “stylist ADD”-lack of focus- for the past four years due to everything from ridiculous pricing (it’s just hair, right?) to color mishaps (granny-purple+22 years-old=buh-bye), it feels wonderful to take off my shirt and throw on the smock. If I said my experience was only average, I would be lying so that I could keep this hair nirvana my little secret.
Pros: Need I say more?
Cons: Doesn't accept credit cards.
