Unique, Ecclectic, Energetic Dialed-in Gallery & Event Space. Space Gallery is the kind of place where if you woke up one morning and said, "Wow, I really *could* pull off an underground art movement of graphiti on canvas with a theme of unicorns, rainbows, and oppressive martians of DOOM bubbling up from plaque-ridden Dia de Los Muertos tooth imagery, vaguely resembling great white sharks and the economy..." you could have the showing there, and people would COME. Not because they think your idea is good, but because they know what shows at the gallery is good. Not convinced? Stop by on any Thursday, Friday, or Saturday night to marvel at the line out the door, or step in to see something interesting and have an innovative soju cocktail, glass of moderately priced wine, or a frosty beer. Space Gallery is a community driven business, and supports it accordingly. Also, you won't get a better deal for a private event anywhere else in the city. Seriously. I dare you to try.

Good Place to Throw a Party.... I threw an indie party there with bands, djs, art, and films and it was a great success. The owner is super cool and so is the staff. If you're looking for a great space and easy going people to collaborate with, the Space Gallery is the place.

Edgy art gallery and bar with a comfortable, underground feel on Polk Street.. In Short
Two levels of gallery space are filled with cutting-edge, rotating art and photography and gussied up with couches and antiques in low-key "Victorian chic." Once used only for hosted events, the venue is now public, with a license for sake and soju cocktails, beer and an affordable selection of wines. It has achieved a cheerful underground buzz thanks to no covers and 100 percent support (through exposure and sales) of emerging artists.
