I live about 1.5 blocks from this
hotel, and my parents stay here when they visit. They love it. It's cozy and adorable - beautiful Victorian architecture, ornate marble-floored lobby. The rooms are small (which is expected, given the building's age and history) but very clean and beautifully furnished. It is one of the few neighborhood hotels that pre-dates the 1906 fire.
My stepfather (who is a finicky meat
snob) recently had the prime rib, and said it was so good he didn't have to season it, which is an enormous compliment from him. Their pasta (especially the risotto) is rich and delicious
