Awesome value for money. This restaurant is a real gem. Awesome seafood dishes with amazing service. The value for money is outstanding and the portions are huge. It's super cute decorated and charming that the cable cart drives right by it.

More please.... The happy hour prices have changed but the food is still awesome. You can't beat a dozen oysters for $12 and $2.50 pints. The seafood fettucine is pretty amazing too. The service is attentive. Ask for Johnny. I can't wait to go back.

Excellent!. Hyde Street Seafood House is close to our house so we eat here often. The food is always delicious and the service is always excellent. The prices are a bit high for what you get but the rest of the experience makes up for it.

Outstanding (Again!). This was my second time here and again the food and service were simply outstanding. It was a little loud due to the big table behind us, but everything else was wonderful, including the hot apple cobbler dessert. I highly recommend this place.

best oysters!. this place rocks! They have the best happy hour in the city. $2 beers and $10 dozens of oysters. The staff is also really nice and the place feels cozy

Service wasn't that.... bad. We had to wait a couple of minutes for drink orders but I think that is more of a cultural difference than anything. Lobster Bisque could use a bit more flabor, swordfish and Mahi Mahi were great, and the chicken was bland.

Awesome. Visited San Francisco in January and would have to say had the best experience here. True, they are short on waitstaff but they made up for it in politeness and excellent service. Couldn't ask for a better meal and night. Thank you!

Hire some SERVERS!!!!. The host was also the server and sometimes buser! It was incredibly busy on Friday night, 1/17/03 and the host spent most of the time trying to turn over tables. My take is that this is a family run place and they want to cut costs on payroll. HIRE SOME SERVERS!!!! This restaurant has great food, but we had to flag someone down and ask for everything and wait a long time for anything. Quit being cheap and hire some servers!

Appalling service. We should have known what we were in for when this was the only place we could get a reservation on Saturday night. The worst service any of us had ever had. 3 people were served their meal, the 4th was forgotten until we were able to flag someone down (after 10 min.). No apology, no return visit to check in on us. There are far too many better restaurants in SF to choose this one.

Great Oysters. Great variety of oysters, and try the bread pudding! Amazing.
