Totally awesome and delicious food. Prime Rib is one of the best in town. The place is wonderful and the staff were very friendly. love their salad!

The prime rib is above average, but I've had better elsewhere. Still if you haven't been then I would recommend trying this restaurant. I enjoyed their house salad. Overall I had a pleasant experience.

Great place for prime rib. I love, love this place. Their prime rib is always consistent. The staff and environment is wonderful, warm, and friendly. Must make reservations because walk-ins can be as long as 2 hours! It's still worth the wait! Simple menu yet so good! oishii!!

Steak for Steak. Delicious steak. Good quality and standard of steak. People are friendly, warm and great. The service is good. I'll always come here for steak.

Great Steak!. The beef is tender, juicy, and flavorful. I wouldn't suggest coming here if you don't want steak.

Really Enjoy The Food!!. I enjoy their food here. Lots of mouth watering flavor and I like the super fast way they get the food out to you, without feeling hurried. More accurately, I think I should say that the food comes out in successions, at the perfect timing.

Quality of HOPR is Timeless. I have been coming here for special occasions since I was a child. Recently took friends from out of town here for dinner and I was absolutely thrilled that HOPR was exactly as it has always been......warm, great service, excellent food and cocktails and satisfying portions. They will even serve you seconds. Their signature salad and dressing are not to be missed. The dressing is available for sale so if you want the salad experience you can have it at home too. The best beef on the planet, real mashed potatoes, creamed spinach and yorkshire pudding. Don't hesitate to come here. ONE WARNING......plan ahead. Reservations are a must especially on weekends.

BEST EVER. I had the best food ever , fantastic food. people are great ,warm and friendly , prices cant be beat . you can have cocktails in the lounge with a rouring fire ,i would fly back just for dinner its thats good

I'll NEVER GO BACK. WE WERE IN S.F. FOR OUR 25TH ANNIVERSARY. WE HAD THE CONCIERGE AT OUR HOTEL BOOK A RESERVATION AT THE HOUSE OF PRIME RIB. THE ONLY TIME SLOT AVAILABLE WAS 6:00PM. WE SHOWED UP AT 5:45 AND THEY CAN'T FIND OUR RESERVATION. I EXPLAINED THAT THE HOTEL HAD CONFIRMED. THEY WENT TO RE-CHECK CAME BACK AND SAID THEY STILL CAN'T FIND IT. I ASKED WHAT COULD BE DONE AND WAS TOLD VERY RUDELY TOLD "NOTHING, YOU DON'T HAVE A RESERVATION". AFTER 40 YEARS OF PATRONIZING THIS JOINT---NEVER AGAIN. RUDE, NASTY MANAGEMENT. "BRUNO THE BOUNCER" MADE SURE WE LEFT THE JOINT AND THEN THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME $8.00 FOR VALET PARKING---HA!!!! MY ONLY REGRET IS THAT MANAGEMENT AND/OR OWNERSHIP WILL NEVER SEE THIS REVIEW---OR IF THEY DO THEY WON'T CARE!!!!

First Disappointing Visit. We go here about four times per year; it is my kid's favorite. Last night was our first disappointing visit. We had a nice visit at the bar with Peter the bartender who is thoroughly pleasant and remembers how to make a cocktail. We had a reservation and were seated in a reasonable amount of time. Things went downhill from there. The service was perfunctory at best, our server, Lacey, was phoning it in. Both our cuts were not up to snuff and not the portion size we are used to here. We thought of sending them back but decided not to (my son wanted to eat). They used to give you a small second helping but I guess they don't do that anymore. So, we'll definitely go back but we hope this is not a sign that things here are not what they used to be.
