Changing of the Guard...rating will update

by baygirl1993

A few years ago, Pasha was not a hospitable place for entertainment (I speak from personal experience and conversations with many, many frustrated colleagues). I am interested in seeing how the new management handles the business and at what level the music, dance, food, and service stabalize.

It was a celebration!

by amerijudge

I took my sister for her birthday celebration there.... we had a blast. We tried the sampler platter and were greeated with large portions. The wine selection was decent. Prices a little on the high side but it was a good experience overall because of the entertainment. Belly dances, and good food.

DON'T EVER GO HERE

by sgarsha

We walked into Pasha for a birthday party on a Friday night at 9p. It's never a good sign when a place is empty at a time that should be at its peak.

The music was so loud we could barely hear each other speak. Additionally, the music was not good. Then, they brought out a 50 year-old overweight belly dancer to entertain the crowd. Trust me, there is nothing amusing about it unless you need a good topic to make jokes about.

Finally, the food was atrocious. We ordered the tasting menu, which was skeptical to begin. $50 is a decent chunk of change for food alone in any restaurant. They brought out some soup, which was the best part of the meal. Next, came a plate of four appetizers. There was a cold spinach salad that was nasty. A beet and goat cheese salad that made me gag. And two other vegetable dishes that were drowned in olive oil.

After the singer of the band made us get up and dance against our will, a few of us made a dash to the bathroom to hide. After about 30 minutes of listening to crappy music, the main course came out. There was some beef on a bone and some kebabs over rice. The beef was tender, but fatty and did not taste good. All the kebabs were dry and nasty. Because we were eating so little, most of us could only think about the pizza we were going to get around the corner afterwards.

Once dinner was over, I stepped outside to have a rare cigarette to get the taste out of my mouth. Then, we went back in for dessert. At this point, we were all really turned off by the food and dessert did not change our minds. There were some dry flaky pastries and another thing that looked like General Tso's chicken.

At no point during the meal did the waiter explain what we were eating or what would be served. Granted, if he tried we probably could not have heard him because of the loud crappy music.

If you're looking for overpriced food, poor service, loud music that stinks, and dirty tables, then Pasha is for you.

  • Pros: Location
  • Cons: Food, service, music, dancers, over priced
