view & uploadGood neighborhood family style "Italian" food. I liked Little Henry's from the start. The back story about a Vietnamese owner/cook making authentic Italian dishes is pretty intriguing. The food is good. Not great. But good. And the prices - most under $10 bucks - and quality cannot be beat! I have the pasta dishes once a week and have yet to be disappointed. They kind of skimp on the garlic bread, but order more for less than $2 bucks. Plus you get a salad with your entree. You're served quickly, whether dining in or out. Take out is a phone call away and the food is always ready when I get there. How they turn out so much in such a tiny space is amazing. You couldn't feel safer, there are cops eating there all the time. Their slogan, "Today's food is better than yesterday, and tomorrow's will be even better!"
BEST KEPT SECRET. Little Henrys is one of San Francisco's best kept secrets, a true family run restaurant with consistant quality, large portions, & reasonable prices. A great mix of "regulars" and cops, helps keep the place hopping. Henry takes pride in the food he prepaires and the place is clean, service is sporadic at times, but you will always be greeted with the signature "Howareyou".
Very Disappointed. I went into this restaurant with high hopes--it has been in the neighborhood for 2+ years, which i took as a sign they must be doing something right. I was wrong. Sure the portions are huge and are well priced, but if you want food of the same quality save your money and go buy some Spaghetti O's and Chef Boyardee meat ravioli -- i think that it would be hard to notice a difference.
great mom and pop! cant get enough of it!. was recommended by friends that frequent the restaurant and am thoroughly impressed! the food was hot, fast, and tasty; portions so big, i had leftovers for the next day. i had the ny stk & prawns ... came with pasta, vegetable, and soup or salad .... my friend had the seafood combination (HUGE PLATE), that's my next dish im getting when i go back. very mom and pop place ... staff and cooks alike ... are friendly and are well known to their customers. highly recommend it! cant wait to go back.
another greasy spoon. If you want loads of oil/grease in your food and terrible service come to this place. Price is cheap, but so is the quality of ingredients. I've given this place enough chances to know to never go there again.
not recommended. It's cheap and you do get big portions, but it doesn't taste the greatest. It IS edible, but for pasta, you wouldn't go there. I ordered a linguine with baby clams and my boyfriend had baked lasagna. The lasagna was definitely not baked and a bit cold. After several bites of my linguine, the taste started to get worse and I felt stuffed with oil. This place is definitely not recommended.
