What People Are Saying About Indonesia Restaurant
I have had better from a vending machine
by sfvisitor
I have eaten many hundreds of Indonesian meals of all sorts, coast to coast and in Europe (especially in the Netherlands when I lived there for several years), and this is rock bottom. I have 20 course rijstafel, simple meals and everything in between, eaten in many homes, top restaurants, hole-in-the-wall restaurants, and, yes, even vending machines, and search out Indonesian restaurants everywhere I travel. I salivate just thinking about good Indonesian food, and I cannot overstate my disappointment at this place. I even tried it again a year after the first time, as with the passage of time, I convinced myself that it really could not have been that bad. So we went again, and it really was that bad. The meat was tough, the sauces were either badly flavored or even burned. Nothing seemed fresh, and I was not confident in the cleanliness or the food safety.
Truly excellent Indonesian cuisine.

My husband and I have been to Indonesia Restaurant twice in the last 2 weeks and we love it! The first time was for lunch, where I had Nasi Goreng Special and he had a mixed dish of coconut rice, tofu, beef and chicken. (I can't recall the exact name.) The food was delicious and the service was very nice.
This week we took some friends to the restaurant and along with the traditional satay and krupek udang as appetizers, we had a wonderful gado gado dish. For the main course, we tried the Rendang, the turmeric chicken and a fabulous beef dish with spicy chiles. I wish I could remember all the names so that I can recommend them to you! Our waiter was very helpful, recommending dishes and being quite attentive.
All in all, we feel we've found a real dining treasure and will make the trip often to eat this wonderful cuisine.
P.S. My dad was Indonesian, so I grew up eating this stuff homemade ... Indonesia Restaurant recreates many of these flavors as I remember them.
- Pros: Great food, good service. Clean.
- Cons: Hard to park, although there are parking garages in the neighborhood. I recommend reservations, since the restaurant is quite small.
The worst Indonesian Restaurant I've ever had
by indy76
I ate there with my friends two weeks ago and I was very dissapointed with all I got. The service is terrible and slow, and the food quality is far below from the other Indonesian restaurant just one block away from them. It's not worth to spend your money eating there. I would not be there twice for my whole life...
- Cons: service, food, ambiance
