Nice desserts. Basic food with healthy portions.
by TamaraChing
This is a family style restaurant, no need to dress up to go have a great meal. The waitstaff speaks minimal English but the owner can assist you if you have any problems communicating your order to your waitress. The menu is in English and Vietnamese and Chinese. The prices are fair and you will get your money's worth of portions. The Pho' is delicious and would recommend the Pho' Tai (rare thin raw beef slices in soup). The Mongolian beef over rice is hearty and tell them to make it spicy for you. Better order the 'cold tea' with it instead of having hot tea. Another good dish is sweet and sour chicken over chow mein noodles (instead of over rice) for a nice change. For a complete change, have the radish pancakes. Simple and filing, believe it or not. The desserts are very good and fresh - all home made. Their hours are from 9 AM until 9 PM most days, except Sunday, when they close at 7 PM. Closed on Mondays. Eat. enjoy and have fun, I always do there.
- Pros: Hearty meals for your money. Great desserts. Fast service.
- Cons: Typical Asian bathrooms.
Good regular spot, great Viet sandwiches
by sfcasual
Good wholesome food. Asian drinks (including average quality Boba) are available. Great amount of food for the price. $2 Vietnamese sandwiches are the best offer you can find anywhere.
- Pros: food, price
- Cons: neighborhood
low-down high-taste vietnamese goodness
by tgurantz
I was introduced here by a friend a few years back, and still try coming *atleast* once a month though I live across town. The vermicelli dishes with BBQ pork and egg rolls are better than any other vietnamese place I've tried. If you like ox-tail soup, try it here. They also have cheap Vietnamese sandwiches ($2), but paying the extra buck for double meat is well worth it!
- Pros: Cheap, Quick, Good
- Cons: "Bad" Neighborhood, Not near my house
