Great donuts in an old school style donut shop. When I entered Bob's donut, I instantly noticed the smell of cinnamon and baking, which reminded me of an old style family donut shop. There was a delicious assortment in the window, from which my wife and I selected a cinnamon twist, a buttermilk maple bar, an apple pie type cake donut and a crumb donut, with some hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was good, not too much sugar and not watery or super thin. The donuts were tasty. My wife stated that the buttermilk maple bar was the probably the best she had ever eaten and wanted to return our whole trip for another (we never had the chance). The cinnamon twist was very good...soft and chewy with just the right amount of cinnamon and sugar. Overall, quite delicious. That being said, it is just a donut shop, so it is about exciting as a donut shop can be.

bob`s donuts. I think that Bobs Donuts is so GOOD!!! I know the owners. My favorite donut there has to be the glazed donut and the CHOCOLATE donuts.I just love the fact that when ever I want a snack in san fransico, Bob's Donuts is my first choice, and the donuts are so inexpensive!!! I THINK BOB`S DONUTS RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!

good and cheap. Bob's is one of those classic hometown donut shops. They make their donuts fresh every day. The best time is to wander there (only by car) in the wee hours of the morning when they are still hot. At that hour I wouldn't recommend walking as the neighborhood is a little sketchy. Personally I think Dunkin Donuts is the best place around, but as there isn't one of those in SF this is the next best thing. They are way better than Krispy Kreme although they don't have as much variety.

Best apple fritters on planet Earth.. This place has the best apple fritters EVER. I have been going to Bob's for a few years and have always found the donuts to be reasonably priced and well made. The ladies that work the counter are always very pleasant and quick to oblige.

Get the BIG GLAZED DONUT!. These donuts are great at any time of the day. On Tuesdays and Thursdays they make these HUGE glazed donuts that may be the equivalent of 4 regular glazed donuts. The window display of donuts is mouthwatering and alluring. It's right across the Good Vibrations store so stop by both places for treats. Krispy Kreme donuts pale in comparison to Bob's fluffy glazed donuts.

Scrumdidlyumpcious!. I've been eating bob's doughnuts for many years now and have never been let down. Rain, shine, sleet or snow (ok maybe not) - they are always there with fresh tastey doughnuts. I recommend the glazed old fashioned and custard/fruit danish. If you are lucky enough to arrive late at night for fresh out of the fryer selects, you are in for a treat.

Just the best donuts in San francisco!!!. I want to recommend everybody the chocolate donuts at Bob's donuts. Try to go there at 10PM, right when they are making the chocolate donuts. During that time, you can also enjoy of a good movie and a nice conversation with the owner of the store. Remmeber to say "Konichiwa" to her!!

Best Glazed in the World. Seriously - test me on this! Bob's had the most amazing glazed donut I've ever tasted in my life.
