A must-visit when coming to San Francisco. Fresh seafood. My favorite is the crab plate.

This legendary raw seafood bar is a San Francisco institution that everyone, natives and tourists, should visit once in their life. Plump oysters, succulent shrimp, buttery salmon, hearty chowder, and special sourdough are just a few of the must ear attractions.

Great seafood. fresh oysters on half shell is VERY sweet, tasty and a must. homemade clam chowder is yummy - not too thick but full of flavor! Got to have a beer on tap - only $2 for a large glass. The guys there are just super nice!

Yum with a capital Y. You'd have to be koo-koo not to love this place. Great, friendly service, the freshest seafood (combo salad!) and a fun, casual atmosphere. Worth the wait in line.

Still dreaming about it .... My boyfriend and I finally made it to Swan and have been kicking ourselves now for not going sooner. Everything was so delicious and fresh. The service was attentive and friendly. We still talk and think about that meal. Just need to gird our loins to brave the line again. There's nothing else quite like it.

The Best in Seafood!. I stand by my review as well. Just went there again the other day...notified entire patronage of Bill_C's review. They laughed hysterically! Everyone began to ask owners where their extra bread charge is. Owners just about busted a gasket laughing....said they think they know who Bill_C was and it didn't surprise them.

Best seafood in SF. I live a block away and have been eating here for ten years. It is an institution. There are few family-run businesses like this around anymore. Great seafood, friendly service.

Couple of hints: 1.) Lunchtime rush starts around 12:30 weedays and there is a line. Either go early or late if in a hurry 2.) You can buy anything to carry out. I recommend getting one or two cracked crabs to go. Better crab at a better price than Fisherman's Wharf.

Absolutely Charming. There's a long wait, there's little room to sit, and things get a little messy, but who cares? This place has great food and the guys behind the counter are so freindly and having so much fun you forget there is only room for one cheek on your stool. A truly orginal place that is a must visit for any out-of-towner.
