Not worth another visit. We agree with other reviewers, we found the food simply NOT GOOD and pricy. The view is wonderful but absolutely not worth another visit.

Horrible Food and Worst Customer Service. We went to this place thinking that the food as usual will be good. To our utter dismay we found the food to be horrible. Usually Gaylord Restaurants have the reputation to serve good food. But this place was a mess. we ordered poori and some veg dishes. They were the worst of their kind. Moreover when we told this to the manager he was showing his attitude as if he is the one who knows about indian food. The food was pricy too. The only thing we liked is the location of the restaurant. You can view the whole SFO downtown across the Bay from that place. But again for that view you don't need to go inside this restaurant and eat the junk food they serve and not to forget about the attitude of the arrogant manager. PLEASE REFRAIN FROM GOING TO THIS RESTAURANT.

Horrible food, Not good for health, Keeps getting burps, Not digestive ingredients,Not fully cooked. We few of the indian guys visited this place very recently and ordered some pakoras for munching and Vegetarian Thali for lunch. The pakoras are not at all good (just a flour fried in oil). Thali was not at all good in taste and they gave the poori along with thali which is like a leather sheet. Also they gave 3 vegetable currises and basmati rice (completely dried , very hard). One of the curry was not even fully cooked. Please avoid this going to restaurant.

Good quality but overpriced. I am split on this restaurant. The food is always fresh but I think it can get very overpriced compared to other Indian Restaurants out there. I do love the lunch buffet where you can try a variety of their popular dishes! I still find myself going back and it's a name stay.

Perfect!. My husband and I had lunch here during a recent CA trip (Oct)...we enjoyed perfect customer service, a stunning view and, of course, the food was not the run-of-the-meal fast serve Indian (or any other) cuisine...it was the best Indian food we've ever had!

Best location and spicy food in the bay area. Superb waterfront location, excellent quality, great service and the best tasting Indian food in the Bay area.... highly recommend the Tandoori dishes....ideal for Sunday brunch.

Valentine's. My boyfriend took me to Gaylord for valentines, It was a great romantic date, the place was decorated with candles and rose petals on the tables, service was very good but the view of the Bay and S.F made it more romantic.

I received a red rose and chocolates which made it a more special night. I will return again.

This grande dame of Bay Area Indian restaurants features straightforward northern Indian classics.. In Short
The new Sausalito location of this standby still offers tasty options for meat lovers and vegetarians alike. A slow soak in yogurt ensures that meat is still moist after a spell in the tandoor, which is a blistering 1,000 degrees when the chicken, lamb and breads get tossed in. Naan and other breads are particularly good, blistered on the outside, moist and steamy within.

Scrumptious!. Gaylord India Restaurant was wonderful! We celebrated our daughter's high school graduation, and also treated her friend who also graduated. The ambiance was lovely. The restaurant looks out into the water, and although it was rainy and foggy, it was lovely. The staff was extraordiarily friendly and outgoing. My husband, myself, our daughter and her friend felt very welcomed. The food and service was outstanding. This was evident by the total silence at the table as breads and sauces were passed and shared. The presentation was also fun as the tandori chicken arrived sizzling on the platter. My husband and I really enjoyed the special drink menu. My Margarita was superb! Our daughter, and her friend's drink, Mango Lass was greati They both agreed that lunch was the best part of their graduation day! I highly recommend the Gaylord India Restaurant for a delightful dining experience.
