In Short – The new Sausalito location of this standby still offers tasty options for meat lovers and vegetarians alike. A slow soak in yogurt ensures that meat is still moist after a spell in the tandoor, which is a blistering 1,000 degrees when the chicken, lamb and breads get tossed in. Naan and other breads are particularly good, blistered on the outside, moist and steamy within.

The restaurant is located on the water, you get a nice view! The service staff is friendly and attentative. The menu offers a nice selection of northern Indian cuisine. The food is ok, nothing great though. It may be a good spot for someone that has not been to an Indian restaurant before, but if you know Indian food well you may be a bit disappointed. Typical Indian flavors were missing. Compared to other Indian restaurants in San Francisco this one on the pricy side.
Priced mainly for the view, average food

The high price is for the view and not for the food. Excellent view- I had specifically asked for a table with the best view and I did get one. The service was just fine although they might have seemed a bit eager for us to quickly place our orders and be done with it-even though we were a pretty large group. As for the food, the appetizers and drinks were pretty good (chicken and paneer were tender) but the curries were almost exactly the same, like they had just substituted chicken with bell peppers/paneer-it was really disappointing, especially for the price. I can definitely get much better curries less than half the price
