Th light at the end of Tunnell.. I've been a patient at Tunnell 3 times to recuperate from hip surgery.The staff are friendly,good people.The place satisfies my main requirement for a rehab/nursing home: it doesn't smell.The one drawback about Tunnell: the food is awful.There is a very pleasant room on the sixth floor to take your guests or hang out in if you want.Unfortuately the outdoor portion of this floor is mostly a smoking area and non-smokers have only a small area.I can;t believe they still have a smoking area.I still have more hip surgery coming up and will go back to Tunnell of my own free will.For a nursing home, it's a pretty good place.

Beware of this Facility. Patients I have interviewed on exiting the facility have talked about poor food quality, nurse neglect, unclean rooms. Checking with DPH records, many violations made on facility for being a bad neighbor to stationary equipment noise complaints, Diesel fumes pollution reports to Bay Area Air Quality District and State of California Enviromental Health Division, unrenewed licensing and lapsed permits, I would not want my Grandmother in this facility. Beware. Oh yeah, no parking either, but they have a parking lot in the basement, but they close it weekdays to all visitors, so the director and Management staff can PARK, nice huh? Sounds like a corporate mentality too me.
