hi, our mother used to work at this salon when it was previously owned by Yosh. It was amazing, always busy and the people are great. You got really good cuts and color and well worth the price. We've just read some previous reviews, and i'm telling you, do not listen to these people that say they were bad. All the workers are amazing and good friends, they do a fabulous job, and are NEVER snobby. Gina is great too, and I don't see how you these people can give such terrible reviews. Oh and whoever wrote that article that never writes articles. Yeah news flash for you, if you're late anywhere, people are going to be a little mad because you scheduled your appointment and hair dressers have a lot of people to fit into one day. So don't write reviews again because you are wrong. This information comes from two girls whose mother used to work there and is a fabulous hair dresser. Yosh For Hair is a fabulous place to go, and you all should go for a conseltation today. :]
Pros: Great Ambience, Great people, Great everything!
Cons: there are none

PLEASE READ SO THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN TO YOU! I have been a customer at the former Yosh for years. Because of this, I "stuck" with them after Gina Khan purchased the salon. In the past couple of years, the quality has become alarmingly low & I have been SHOCKED BY THEIR RUDE SERVICE!! Here are a few examples: -- I was scheduled for a cut/color & after they finished my color they told me the person who was going to cut my hair was out sick...I WAITED FOR HOURS WITH WET HAIR & THEY DIDN'T EVEN OFFER ANY COMPENSATION WHATSOEVER. --On another occasion, the colorist "made a mistake" and FORGOT TO HIGHLIGHT AN ENTIRE SECTION OF MY HAIR & there was a round circle on the back of my head. I noticed this once my hair was cut & dried. There was no way I was going to go out looking that way! The colorist corrected it but DIDN'T OFFER TO DRY MY HAIR AFTER I PAID FOR A CUT/COLOR/BLOW-DRY!! The whole procedure took hours & no compensation was offered whatsoever!! And, of course, I was stuck w/ a pretty huge parking fee at the Sutter/Stockton garage. --I was less than ten minutes late to an appointment because I missed the Muni (figured I wouldn't risk huge parking fees if I got stuck there again) & was literally out of breath once I arrived at the salon after running to get there. I told the stylist that I wanted to grab a glass of their iced tea & THE STYLIST YELLED AT ME FOR BEING TEN MINUTES LATE & SAID I COULDN'T HAVE ANY TEA & THAT SHE DIDN'T HAVE TIME LEFT TO DO MY HAIR! The place got a good name when it was owned by Yosh & has become a bit of a "factory." Just try calling them. Even try during a time the phone shouldn't be busy, like the middle of the morning on a weekday...guaranteed, they'll put you on hold & they won't be friendly once they get around to your call. I've never written an online review about anything before, but have been so upset with this place, I felt I needed to let people know. I really hope this information helps people! :)
