Where do I start? I found Dipietro Todd Salon after I had 2 of the most horrific hair experiences of my life in San Francisco. I am new to the city and after almost giving up I read about Dipietro Todd in Elle Magazine. The article was featuring outstanding colorists for brunettes, specifically Heather from Dipietro Todd. I immediately booked an appointment. First off the salon is clean, modern and has a great vibe. Heather took the time to talk to me before my appointment, consider my goals and consider what would look best. She was genuine, friendly and I felt comfortable and confident in her ideas. Thanks to her, I now have the most gorgeous, deliciously chocolate hair in the world. I especially appreciated her taking to heart that I could not afford to spend $$$ on color and highlights, so she used a technique that gave me the same effect without the extra cost and process. I also set up an appointment with Kohl to get my hair cut. She is AMAZING. She and Heather consulted before starting my services so they could achieve the best over all look. Kohl was a blast and it was refreshing to meet someone who didn't want to chop off all my long hair. On top of it all her assistant took the time to blow-out and curl my hair for free! I left looking and feeling like a movie star! They may charge more than the average san francisco hippie salon, but it is worth every single penny. If you want a serious hair make-over go see Heather and Kohl. The BEST!
Pros: Best services, highly trained staff, focused and fantasic, centrally located
Cons: centrally located - union square is a zoo on weekends!

Good atmosphere. Lots of room, no crowding, lots of light and windows. The person who shampoos understands this is a real head and not a practice plastic head. Gently washes your hair. Colorist: Have had my highlights done there twice and each time had to go back for a redo!!!! At $270 dollars and 2/1/2 hours of processing time to have to go back is totally unacceptable!!! What is the problem???? I'd go else where if I knew who to go to but in San Francisco there the talent pool is slim. Hair cut: Had 3 cuts by same person. Liked the cut on the first 2. The third cut I felt I was now being taken for granted and wasn't very good. Found a new stylist and it was superb. Hopefully it will continue to be superb.
