Refurbished Victorian-style hotel offers convenient downtown location and thrifty appeal.. In Short
Built in 1912, this five-story, 61-room mansion maintains much of its original 19th-century decor and furnishings, including an ornamented lobby with a fireplace and sitting room. A computerized wake-up call system, 24-hour fax service and close proximity to the Financial District cater to business travelers, while complimentary breakfast and nearby Theater Row, Union Square and Chinatown lure tourists. Rates are low by neighborhood standards, but room amenities are accordingly sparse.
