I ALWAYS stay at the Grant Plaza!. Very reasonable rates, very friendly & knowledgeable staff, very convenient location, very pleasant rooms! It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at SweetHotelDeals.us They usually have some pretty good deals on there!

I'd definitely recommend it to anyone. It's a great hotel for budget travelers. There are lots of bars and restaurants nearby. It is in the heart of San Frans Chinatown and the bar that Jack Karouac used to hang out in (Vesuvio) is within walking distance! The room itself was great, the bed was comfy and the shower was pretty good also. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone!

The location is perfect. The room is bright and clean. The location is perfect (right at downtown). The staff is friendly and helpful. You got a nice view from the windows. It also has a huge closet for your clothes. My friend and I have a really wonderful experience staying there.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. This diamond in the rough is superbly located a few blocks above Pravda, Brooks Bros, etc, and close to the #30 bus to Fisherman's' Wharf, Museums, etc. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, let us leave our things several hours before actual check in time. They gave us a large room on the sixth floor, in stained glass heaven, after I had asked about the beautiful windows. Park diagonally across the street is perfect for `picnics.'

very helpful and friendly. If you want to be in the heart of China Town-location is great. Rooms were decent and clean-nothing fancy, but I was there to hang out in the City, not my room, so it served it's purpose. The front desk manager will tell you great places to go to really get the China Town experience, he was very helpful and friendly.
