AMAZING ASSORTMENT OF CARDS

San Francisco is full of unique shops, but Avant Card is definitely the best card store in the Bay Area, if not the whole state.
The buyers have absolutely exquisite taste. The quality and diversity of local SF postcards is unparalleled. As for the greeting cards, the assortment provides cards you will never see anywhere else.
The store is small but well organized and neat. It is almost like someone is following you around filling up the empty spaces <g>.
They specialize in unique holiday cards, not just for Christmas but especially for San Francisco's major holiday, Halloween! Throughout the year, the stock of everything from birthday to sympathy cards is just incredible. The hand made cards are really works of art!

Avant Card is as hip as its name offering a phenomenal selection of greeting cards, postcards, boxed cards, and calendars too. This is not your mother's Hallmark! There are all kinds of cards -- including true pieces of art, irreverent, funny, every occasion you can think of, keepsakes, and, of course, if you want a postcard of San Francisco, this is the only place to go. The postcard selection is so fabulous that you'll want to keep them instead of mailing. And the store is beautiful as well - the design is sleek & very vogue -- just like the people who work there. If you're a tourist to San Francisco, it's a must see. If you're a local, you'll never want to buy a card anywhere else. I am addicted. The store truly provides affordable art for giving (through their cards) and I always get a thank you from people I send them too. You will find the perfect card you're looking for every time. I've never been to a card store that even remotely compares. Highly recommended!
