I walked in wanting some dim sum. The workers were rude and allowed someone who was after me to order first. The shrimp dumplings and beef shu mai were nasty. I have had better dim sum elsewhere.

WOW. If you are in for an authentic experience, this is the place!! The menu is completely in Chinese, so I suggest asking the ladies to lift the steamer tops so you can get a glance at the shiny dumplings. They will also tell you what they are in short yet effective English. My favorites are the shrimp dumplings, scallion dumplings (awesome, with chunks of shrimp inside), sharkfin shumai. If you are around for breakfast, try the rice porridge too. A must-try is their steamed sticky rice ball. The sticky rice is cooked in mushroom broth, and has perfectly blended bits of barbecue pork and cilantro in them. The chewy rice is wrapped in spring roll wrappers and then steamed to perfection. It's dreamy. I can have a bunch of them. A filling meal is so affordable here. I had about eight dumplings, one sticky rice ball, and a bao (the white muffin looking roll) for SIX DOLLARS. It's insane. Please do not be put off by the ladies who appear to not speak English. They know much more than they let on! This is a fabulous place to spend little and eat a lot. Ask to "eat here" and enjoy the hot dim sum on a tray at one of their small tables. I hope you enjoy!!
