Quality of the pho has gone down. – pho was okay when we first tried it here. then as time went on, i notice that the pho tasting disgusting. lumpy noodles, weird tasting broth, and sliced steaks aren't fresh. only pro, the egg rolls are still good.
Good Cheap Pho! – Very fresh, flavorful pho for around $5. Servings are generous too. The wait staff seats you quickly even during busy lunch hours. The restaurant itself is clean, unlike some other places in Chinatown.
Great Pho and Vermicelli – Great value everything under $7. Fast friendly service. Pho usually takes less than 5 minutes to get to your table.
Vermicelli is light and refreshing and a great alternative on warm days when not in the mood for pho.
Tasty imperial rolls.
Stick to the vietnamese dishes, they have some chinese dishes which is OK but why go to a vietnamese restaurant in Chinatown for chinese food?
Since I'm moved out of the bay area, I miss Golden Star.
Incredible – Delicious, fresh food. Fast service. Unbelievable prices. I would frequent this restaurant 2 to 3 times a week for lunch, and it has never let me down.
