Editorial Review for Banana Republic – by Citysearch Staff
In Short
Epitomizing office casual wear, Banana Republic started out as a small vendor of safari-inspired clothing before it was purchased by the Gap in 1983. Since then, it has grown into a brand-name behemoth that one-ups the Gap in quality, status and price--but not necessarily creativity. The core of the collection is constant: versatile staples such as khakis, button-down shirts, denim, T-shirts and jackets in solid, organic colors. Lengths and fabrics change slightly according to the season. Some stores have expanded into bedding, fragrance, bath and beauty, and home-furnishing lines.

BANANA REPUBLIC is a great store don't get me wrong, but theres little difference between each of the clothes. It looks like im looking at the exact same shirt just a different color. Sometimes youll make a good find.
Pros: customer service, quality, lots of clothes
Cons: , variety on designs

Banana Republic has great clothing for work and weekends and great service to help you find what you need. Inexpensive options for work and evening. BR features many classic styles, as well as new, hip pieces from season to season to help update your wardrobe. The flagship store is the ultimate BR, with the best and most complete selection and wonderful service. It even houses a concierge desk which provides a coat check, cell phone charger and information on attractions in San Francisco.
Pros: Clean, Great Service, Inexpensive
Cons: None!
