In Short – If not for the painstakingly handcrafted leather goods themselves, it's worth dropping in just for the smell of them. Beatrice Amblard, proprietress and former Hermes designer, makes each piece at her workbench in the corner of her sunny boutique. The pieces she turns out are both contemporary and classic, with clean lines and a definite French flair. Most are made to order, like the black stingray clutch and red calfskin PDA case pictured in her sample book. But lux leather goods never come cheap: Wallets start at $325 and handbags at $1600.
