Delancey Street has it all!. Delancey Street is a great organization and they have a wonderful restaurant. I went here with my family for dinner and everything from the wait staff to the food was wonderful. I ordered the peppered Ahi tuna with wasabi noodles and it was delicious! I had never had anything like wasabi noodles before and I really enjoyed it. This is a great place to come before games at AT&T because it's so close and inexpensive.

Great food with a reasonable price. this is quite a respectable restaurant, though you may not feel it the first time you go there. the service is friendly and the food is no-b/s american burger and sandwiches. don't expect too much though for ambience since the price is reasonable and you'll leave happy having a delicious juicy burger.

Disappointed. Brought 12 friends/family to Brunch (celebrating a 15th birthday) Service (at least our waiter and the unfriendly host) left ALOT to be desired in all aspects. Most of the dishes ordered were okay, one wrong order and several lukewarm. They were completely oblivious to the birthday which I cannot say about other restaurants whose staff has always participated. Not that it mattered to the 15 y/o but in comparison to other establishments. Hope your experience is better.

Elegant eatery dishes up American fare with a socially conscious mission a stone's throw from the SoMa waterfront.. With its to-die-for Bay views, flower-studded patio and enduring reputation for top-notch service, this restaurant does not, at first, seem a likely hangout for ex-cons. A surprise to many who visit the eatery unawares, this longtime local destination employs residents of the eponymous non-profit organization's rehabilitation program. Amid the dining room's white tablecloths, rich wood paneling and handmade copper accents, patrons enjoy a diverse menu of lunch, dinner and weekend brunch offerings from baby back ribs to rack of lamb, crab cakes to sweet potato pie.

Wonderful experience!. I've seen Delancey Street Restaurant for a long time now, and finally tried it out. It was beyond my expectations! I love that the restaurant is tied to the Delancey St Foundation, too. The value of the food was phenomenol -- 3 beers, an appetizer and two full entrees for about $30! Beyond the value, the food itself was delicious and satisfying. What I also liked about the restaurant was how warm and comfortable it felt. The atmosphere is truly one of relaxation, the service friendly and attentive. This is a great place to take a date, a group of friends, family, and anyone you know who is a picky eater: the menu is very diverse! Definitely a keeper.

Great Service, Great Food, Great Cause. I have been going to this restaurant since it opened and have always been delighted with my meals at Delancey Street. This place combines the refined, polished ambience of a restaurant overlooking the embarcadero with the prices of a cafe, at lunch most fare is under $10, dinner is under $15. My fiance and I come here for romantic milestones and I have also brought big parties and reserved one of their private rooms. They make a tasty Rueben at lunch, and the oak fired ribs with collared greens and sweet potato pie is a classic! Dont miss out on the orange chocolate creme brulee if you have room.

WE NEVER GOT OUR FOOD!!. After decieding to take some friends to dinner on a Saturday night, we entered the restaurant placed our orders, and waited. After about a half hour, we realize our food was not ready yet. We asked a waiter what was the problem, he went to check and didn't return. We had to ask 3 times to get "your food will be right out" from the waiter, another 5 minutes went by and no food!! All this happend while people arrived 20 minutes after us were getting their dinner. At this point, we were running late for a show, and got up and left. Nobody even offered an apology or to tell us what was the problem. A horrible experience!!

Amazing. The food is uniformly oustanding and interesting. The ambience is friendly, nice and yet not pretentious. One can dress up or down. For what you get, it is a great value. I take everyone here. Plus I feel like I'm helping the community at the same time. This is definitely my favorite restaurant in the City.

Great Neighborhood Restaurant - Hidden Find. A friend and I happened to eat brunch here this past weekend and I was impressed. As a foodie, I love trying out new restaurants and this one is a keeper. The wait staff did an excellent job, the food was very good, the prices were beyond reasonable and the restaurant itself has a great view and atmosphere. Who needs overcharged cuisine and snooty service when you have a gem of a restaurant right on the waterfront in SOMA. I had heard about the restaurant's story which I find interesting and a great idea. I will definitely be back!
