Fabulous Hair Experience – I've lived in San Francisco all my life and tried many different salons and have been unimpressed. I walked in off the street and got an appointment right away wih one of the directors. I have never been so happy with my hair color and cut. I am now a regular and so is my boyfriend.
best hilite and cut ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! – I have been a client of Diva International for a few years now, and have experienced almost all of the stylists for both colours and cuts and have yet to be dissapointed! The best part about Diva is that everytime I go in for a cut or colour I get my make up touched up (fixed!)
And, even better, they have always served cappuccino's, tea and sparkling water, but now they are serving wine!
Horrible Management – Adam is an awesome make-up artist. He's the best I've ever seen. Bradley Drapkowski is also the best hairstylist. He has done my hair for years and knows how to style all hair types. I am a black woman and was displeased one day when the "manager" who happens to be Diva's husband refused to give me service because a receptionist placed my appointment on the wrong day and disrupted their "system." The manager acted as though it was my fault that the mistake was made. The manager then expected me to have any stylist do my hair. I explained that not everyone could do my hair and he responded that Diva is from Greece and could do my hair. I told him that Bradley had been doing my hair for years and that I had tried other stylists in the salon and left disappointed. I said that I pay too much to look horrible when I leave the salon. The manager then stated that I should go to another salon. (Mind you, this was around the holidays too). The "manager" was extremely brash and down right rude. He had the worst customer service skills known to man. He even lied about his name and position after I told him what time it was. What a coward. Bradley, I love you but please change salons.
I should try going to the dog salon instead... – Terrible color work, for $200 I could have gotten it done right but I was in a hurry for somewhere close to my job. Boy am I sorry,, they tried to re-do & it was still wrong.
How hard can Blonde be.... I even showed a picture !!!! My hair is naturally light too... it's not like they had to perform a miracle.....I think they let students work on you
Excellent Brows! – Adam, who handles the brows and make-up is wonderful. I am very picky about my eyebrows and he the best stylist I've been to. He is also great with make-up. I would highly recommend the salon and Adam in particular.
Too much attitude, too little service – I wouldn't recommend them, they're just average. If only their service would match their attitude! I've started going there because the location is convenient, the price is okay and you can always get an appointment - however, not with the stylist you want. They schedule your appointment with whoever is available within your budget. The only exception is Diva herself, you can always ask for her, but she charges much more. I'm used to more sophisticated salons in Europe, and I'm always frustrated with the haircut I get at Diva. No matter how detailed I explain to them my hair, they never get it quite right. Fortunately, I have long hair and can pin it back or somehow cover up what doesn't work. They just snip away at the ends, but around the face, where it gets really important, they hardly touch my hair. Instead they spend most of the time on styling. You walk out like a diva, but once you wash and style your hair yourself - same disappointment! I just know that a good haircut doesn't need any styling or not a lot. But they keep telling me that I must use their expensive products and how to straighten my curly hair out, when a good stylist should be able to make the best of every type of hair! However, I've been happy with the coloring. The highlights always come out great and natural. If only they would learn to listen to their customers' needs.
Diva got style... – What you have to love about Diva International is that you walk into a buzzing atmosphere of talent and into the hands of style-gurus that uphold a glowing level of professionalism. Diva International warms you to lavish in your salon experience. Cutting edge stylist will do your do right. Want super-chic color? Their colorist become artists with an eye for innovation and class. Best of all, Diva, the owner is always around - with a smile for you!
Best SF Salon – Once you enter Diva International, you know you're in good hands. The place is vibrant, clean and energetic. The staff makes sure to acknowledge you whether they are your stylist or not. I've gotten my hair done several times here, each with a new stylist (they have a no-request policy) and each time they've done a terrific job. Recently moved here from Los Angeles and I'm pleased to say I can get top-notch service without the pretentious attitude. Highy reccomended.
Trust your tresses to a team of stylists at this Financial District salon. – In Short
Catering primarily to area professionals, this light-filled, modern salon operates under a team policy: Walk-ins are welcome and stylists do not maintain a regular roster of clients. Instead, patrons are paired with the first available stylist whose skill level fits their budget. The on-site "colour lab" offers custom blending, while a full range of salon services--including hair conditioning treatments, brow shaping and makeup application--are also available.
A big disappointment! – The salon looks clean and trendy and is near where I work so I went in for a cut. I wasn't that happy with the cut but wanted to give them another chance so I went back. They did my color and the first time was fine but the touch-ups were the problem, and this was while using their expensive salon products which they practically force you to buy. The final time I went, my hair was literally breaking off my head. Overall, the staff seems young and rather inexperienced which is fine for a school but not a professional salon that advertises its self as hair color experts!
