Add a top-notch staff and there's little wonder why One Market has been packed from the first day. …

They just celebrated their 20 year anniversary & that means they're doing something right! Go in for Chef Mark Dommen's Cioppino and celebrate with a glass of champagne.
so-so. I feel that One Market is over priced, especially for the quality of food. I wouldn't mind spending the money if it was good..but I found the food to be moderate.
Enron expense account?. If you have an unlimited expense account and are not interested in good food -- this is the place for you. The setting is noisy, the food is average at best, and the prices are high. Add poor service to that and you have a good description of One Market.
Worst service ever!. I have eaten at this restaurant twice and both times the service was horrible. The wait staff there are very unprofessional and rude! Food was only ok. There are other restaurants of the same level with much better food and service such as Rubicon, Farrallon and Hawthorne Lane.
pleasantly surprised and thrilled. We didn't expect too much based on other reviews here, but everything was perfect. Perhaps there are consistency problems, but start to finish we had a great experience. Super food (foie gras salad!!), great service, nice wine, and piano music. All together a hard to beat combination.
