Another "best kept secret". This is a wonderful room, with its high ceiling, paneled walls and intriguing artwork. The staff are friendly and very professional. The wine list is comprehensive and reasonably priced. And the food! My wife and I used to eat dinner at Maxfield's every other month but since the new menu was introduced, we may become weekly regulars. The choices are simple (fish, beef, lamb) and everything is of the highest quality, beautifully cooked. Each entree comes with two side dishes, chosen from an extensive list. Do not miss the lobster polenta or the citrus risotto! Put it all together and Maxfield's is one of the best dining experiences in the City.

Delightful !. The first thing you'll notice is the polite staff. You'll never get the "oh it's not my table" attitude. The manager(s) of the restaurant are always around also. Their menu is varied yet small enough to not be intimidating. The food is very reasonably price, it's very possible to eat for 20$ or so here and the portions are very generous.

THE BREAD ... This isn't your average loaf with butter.. it's a basket of 6-7 types of breads and spreads, eat to your heart's content!!

All in all I **highly** recommend this to anyone who wants a tasteful lunch with co-workers or a happy gathering after-hours with friends.

This is one of my favorite places to eat downtown.. if you 're hungry but on a budget you ought to check this place out.

Hidden Great Value. This was very unique expereince because usually hotel restaurants over priced and bad food. Maxfield's was a great experience, food was excellent and prices were extremly affordoble entrees $10 to 19.00 I had a Tuna tartare and a Cowboy Steak($19.75) definately was a great value service was very attentive and comforting.
