Since my first visit to Citrine a few months ago, I have become a regular. The salon's got a very cool ambiance and is probably the most comfortable place I have ever had my hair done. All of the stylists are gracious and kind when you walk in. (yep.. really a shame, that that's actually refreshing to find in a salon nowadays!!) The owners have had the salon for a while and have designed it beautifully--the paintings, furnishings, and well kept garden are very San Franciscan in style... so is their selection of tea.. or just their having tea for you as soon as you walk in.. and I could go on about how delicious that tastes with the homemade lemon bars or pastries from the local french bakeries that very happy clients bring in with them to share...but how are the hair stylists? how is your hair going to look? Shvonne colors and cuts my hair, which now is a much richer, healthier head of hair than it was a just a few months ago. She is very much into picking the most flattering color for your hair, while using the best products to keep it healthy and shiny. At Citrine, they use a special Italian coloring product that doesn't dry out hair like products used in many other salons. Shvonne always has a sexy-cool doo and is quite passionate about styling her clients so they feel good about going out to all of the events they are invited to, but might not have the enthusiasm before their hair is styled. While sitting in your chair, you'll notice the great styles on the other stylists in the salon. They do each others hair too, so you have excellent examples of their work as soon as you walk through the door.
Pros: Excellent service, no waiting, very nice, friendly atmsphere, creative, stylish ambiance.

I have gone to a lot of salons in my life and this is the only one that I actually want (& AM) going to go back to! I went there because my husband wanted to help me get a "makeover" for mothers day. He got the idea from the show What Not To Wear (LOL).. So I went in and told Tere to do whatever she wanted. I was really scared because I have told a lot of hairdressers to do that and I either get the same old thing or something scary (and painful.. I have had my head burned and I have sat through an 8 hour hair dye! One time I ended up with green hair!) Tere sat down with me and told me what she thought would look good and got my input so I wouldn't be totally surprised. Then she would add what she thought would spice it up.. like an edgy color! I absolutely love my new hair!!! She also did my make-up and it turned out amazing!!! I look better than I could have ever imagined! I look like a totally different (AND HOT) person!! I LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!! And so will you!! So if you are looking for something that is worth your money then give Citrine Salon a call and ask for Tere!! P.S. The salon feels like you are at home and not out of place. The hairdressers are all friends and they are all friends with their customers. Everyone knows everyone else and they include you in conversation. I was laughing and having fun the whole time!
