In Short – This bright spot on the lower Sutter shopping and Financial District strip offers charming bistro lunch, happy hour and ambience. The narrow space features bright yellow details, warm woods, white tablecloths, a full bar and three sidewalk tables for outdoor seating. Specials rotate daily--lunch might feature roasted Sonoma chicken with goat cheese mashed potatoes as well as sandwiches, soups and salad. Dinner features similar fare as well as pasta and a full range of gourmet pizzas.

Metropol is THE place for a party

My wife and I rented Metropol for a party and we could not have been happier. Kluse and his staff we unbelievable. Their service was outstanding. ALL of our guests were overwhelmed by how hospitable and polite everyone was and how good the food was. If you are planning a party you should strongly consider Metropol, the atmosphere is great, the service is outstanding and the food is excellent. I highly recommend it (if you can't tell).

European Delight

Great downtown restaurant, breakfast, lunch and dinner. We work in the neighborhood and frequent as often as we can, our boss has also used their catering service which delivers a perfect event every time.
The outside tables are a great people watching area with the hustle and bustle of downtown San Francisco.
Keep up the good work.
