this place rocks. Tons of business and clandestine conversations are conducted in the booths here. Lots of boozing, too. Classics like celery Victor, Hangtown fry, boned Rex sole, all delicious.
How does this place stay afloat?.
For some reason, this place still gets business. Therefore, the servers have been there forever and know that they don't have to try real hard. Same with the cooks - overcooked, bland, bad.
