Good mechanics are hard to find. My husband and I have been going to Auto Dynamik since 1990. Though we can bring our cars to a nearby body shop close by where we live, I would rather bring them to Auto Dynamik . good customer service, not the cheapest. I needed to get a water pump replaced because my car is losing coolant fluid. They charged me $135 while Kragen has the part for $50 (or $40 for refurbished). I called around and found that other shops typically charged $70-100 for the part, but since I had aleady commited $110 for the diagnostic workup, I felt I was committed. When I asked if I could bring in a cheaper part, they said that I could but that I would lose all warranties (90 day warranty on labor / 1 yr warranty on the part). In the end, I sucked it up and let them do the job, but I can't tell if it was worth the extra money or not. Time will tell. …
