Kelly Gayle and NO other. I have been seeing Kelly for a couple of years now. She is meticulous and really receptive to what I want done (which is changing everyday). Salon Louie is adorable and I don't have to deal with the mess of downtown as they have PARKING. I would really never risk going to see anyone else.

Kelly is where it is at!. I used to live on the east coast and was completely addicted to my colorist there. I would not get my hair done by anyone else and would fly back to fix my color. Someone recommended that I give Kelly Gayle a try and I'm so super happy I did. She makes me above and beyond the prettiest blonde possible. She works at my hair until it has reached a point of perfection and is more critical than even I am (hard to beat!). Salon Louie is cute, low key and tucked away between Castro and Civic Center. There is no hussle and bussle of downtown and there is PARKING across the street! I am loyal to Kelly and her professional way as long as I am in SF.

Tracy at Louie Hair Salon can do NO wrong!. For years I searched for my tresses' soul mate, & finally found her!! Her name: Tracy. For as long as I've been seeing Tracy, my hair has never looked better, thus I have never felt better. Louie Hair Salon is in a small SF alley- it's a gem, & Tracy a jewel!! She ALWAYS does exactly what I ask for, thus making me happy. Tracy also suggests, & has yet to steer me wrong. Tracy is the greatest & have recommended her to everyone. I've told people to go see Tracy, & if that after their visit they weren't happy, that I would pay for their visit to Tracy, & pay for them to get their hair redone at the salon of their choice. I put my money where my mouth is, & I have yet to pay for anyone else's hair cut. PS- Tracy is ALWAYS on time!

Secret Find in San Francisco. Totally unassuming, tucked away across market st from Zuni Cafe, what a find! I was recommended to Jeff and Lulu for highlights and cut and I've never been happier with my hair. I barely need to do anything at all, although any excuse to use thier delicious smelling and effective styling products they sell, it's fun to play. The atmosphere is no fuss, pleasant, and the front desk staff remembered me only on my second visit. I feel like a VIP everytime I go now. The prices are way better than the uppity downtown salons -- so it's quite a deal!

Joanne is the BEST!!! YOU HAVE TO SEE HER. I have been going to Joanne for nine years now. I have strayed a couple times (nine years is a long time) ALWAYS run back to her hoping she will take me back and forgive me for trying someone less $$. She is the best colorist I have ever had TRUELY - or any of my friends had ever had. I get stopped ALL the time and asked who does my hair. She cuts hair just as great. Never skip a blow out! She charges as much as she should for how talented she is. You are not paying for some stylists name that did some famous person you are paring for the highest quality cut and color. And she is not unreasonable at all. Plus she is just the sweetest person you could meet. She is always on time and gets you out on time.
