Staying in Mosser. I was choosing the hotel never being to SF or USA in general before. I was on business trip and needed to stay in SF alone for 2 days, So i relyed on bookingdotcom and there was high rating for this hotel.

But i was quite shocked as i cam? to stay! The location was great, but the hotel - rooms are just TINY and the sink was right at the bed, and no toilet in the room (though i knew it won't be). And i couldn't even buy water in the hotel or order a tea.

But it was quite clean, the bathroom was ok and the complimentary muffins and morning tea sweetend the pill =)

Charming Victorian Hotel In the Heart of San Francisco. I stayed at The Mosser on my last visit to San Francisco and loved it! Yes, the room are small, but they are immaculate and so modern. I felt like I was in Europe! I was so impressed by the kind and helpful staff. Everyone was warm, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I was pleased with the location, too - it was perfect! Close to everything you need - tourist spots, shopping, restaurants, trolleys and cabs. My huband and I had a romantic dinner at the restaurant attached, Annabelle's - what fantastic food. I highly recommend the duck and the salmon. Delish! I left my heart in San Francisco - at The Mosser Hotel!

Second to none in class and charm, this San Francisco hotel harkens back to a bygone era.. In Short
With stained-glass windows, high and narrow staircases, intricate decor and dark-wood interior, the Mosser closely resembles an original boarding house of the Victorian Age. The hotel is connected to Studio Paradiso, a free-floating music studio complete with digital, multitrack-channel mixing boards. Amenities include custom-designed furniture, cotton robes and double-paned windows for extra quiet. Rooms also come with two-line phones with data ports and 250-thread count sheets.

Don't Bother. When you read the other reviews and people say the rooms are tiny, it's cause THEY ARE!

The "Budget rooms" come with a bed, a tiny TV, a sink, and (luckily) a ceiling fan (you'll need it). They say you're going to use a shared bathroom but you're sharing with everyone else on the floor. There are two bathrooms (toilet only) and ONE shower (which gets used all day). We never had a problem with waiting for a shower but it's kinda gross to know that everyone else is using it when you're not. You're lucky if you get a good view. We got to see the back side of a building that was probably 4 feet way from our building, and we were right above the kitchen so we got to hear the lovely conversations of the kitchen staff and clanging of pots and pans. The double pane windows are a nice feature but not when you can't close them cause it's too hot (we were there in september). The pillows aren't nice, the sheets are all staticky, so please find somewhere else to stay.

Great Spot For Honeymooners. we just got back from our stay at the mosser and we couldnt have been happier. the staff was very friendly and helped us find our way around the area. the area surrounding the hotel is full of great shopping spots and it is within walking distance of anything. dont let the "small room" reviews scare you; the rooms are nice and very clean. perfect pick for honeymooners wanting something more personal.

I had a great experience.. I've only stayed here once, so I'm not sure if there are room sizes vary. I stayed in posibbly the smallest hotel room I have ever checked into, but the furnishings were extremely modern and clean. The surroundings were also awesome - a big movie theater, great restaurants, the SF mall, nice cafes, etc (Orbitz gives you a great deal on this hotel).

still a great piece of San Francisco!. We stayed here once before and really enjoyed the place... the second time was equally as great. The lobby is so beautiful - a mix of modern and victorian. The rooms are really modern and fun. It is an old hotel so the rooms are not very big, but the location and decor is excellent... not to mention the great price. This place is worth trying!
