Tasteful neo-classic decor near Moscone Convention Center.. The Scene
Only one block south of Market Street, this mid-sized hotel is adjacent to the Nordstrom shopping center and only a few blocks from Moscone Convention Center and Union Square. Access to Fisherman's Wharf and other tourist destinations is also exceptionally easy, as it is only a moment's walk to the Market Street cable car turnaround.

The Details
The modern Italian decor remains consistent throughout the property with neutral brown tones accented by black and white stripes and various shades of gray marble. In the 108 guestrooms, cool black counters, beech wood furniture, and black accessories complement the warm beige walls. All rooms have enough space for a full-size desk and armchair, but those with only one king bed also have a sitting area with a comfortable couch. Four meeting facilities and in-room Nintendo are a few of the noteworthy amenities.

Great location, awful valet service.... Though the hotel staff was quick to serve us when we needed something, the valet/parking situation was awful. You pay almost $30 for in/out priviledges and overnight parking. BUT, it is almost impossible to ever get your car. We came down at 9 p.m. to go out for dinner was told it would take 40 minutes to get our car which was parked in a garage 2 blocks away!! We had to catch a cab! For check out, we called ahead 30 minutes early to be safe, but then our car did not arrive for 40 minutes. If you stay here, be wise to REALLY call ahead or just rely on walking or catching a cab to your next destination!
