Traditional supplies like woodworking tools, easels, sketch books and professional quality paints, brushes and canvases share space with quirky gadgets, toys and novelty items fom funky kitchen accessories to holiday ornaments, T-shirts to do-it-yourself kits. The store's handmade, mouldmade and machine-milled paper inventory is also a major draw for customers who make unique gift wrap, scrapbooks, wall hangings, note cards and other projects.

Flax seems to have it all. If you are looking for creative inspiration, look no further then Flax. This is the best art supply store in the Bay Area. Their specialty paper selection is incredible. Flax seems to have everything I need.

Wow!. Flax is quite an impressive store. The service is friendly and when it comes to art supplies, they have it all. If you park in their handicapped spot and you don't have a placard, you'd better watch out!

very nice. I've never seen such a selection for cool gifts....and the Flax cafe has many tempting treats!
