Outstanding service. The friendly, honest, helpful staff really set me up. They performed a free informal appraisal of some jewelry I had purchased online, going so far as to pass me the loupe and point out all the characteristics in the stones that influenced their calculation. They also gave me an outstanding price on some jewelry they had in stock, and were completely upfront about the stones, declaring the inclusions and showing them to me without being asked. Definitely one of the best experiences I have had with a jeweler. No hard sell, very open about everything they were doing, and great value. Highly recommended.

Great for appraisals. I went to see Ben at SF Provident Loan for an insurance appraisal. He was very friendly, professional, and accomodating. I'd visit Ben and his colleagues again for any jewelry repair, loan, or appraisal needs.

excellent resource. The folks at Provident offered very professional services. They were straight forward as to the saleability of my item and offered me other options regarding the item sale from which to choose. They were also low key in their offer and approach and easy to deal with. An excellent resource for the sale of jewelry.

More helpful than the other places I visited.. When I made an appointment and went to their store I was a little worried because it is indeed a jewelry pawn shop, and I didn't think they would pay honest prices or do anything but try to take what I had for as little as possible. I don't know that much about jewelry, and was a bit afraid of being taken advantage of.

I was pleasently suprised by how well they knew the history of what I had, and actually offered me substantially more than what the other, more posh stores would. They bought some items outright, sent other to auction on my behalf (at a rate less than the auction house quoted me,) and sent me to an antique store on Market street who would pay more for the silver jewelry I had.

They are busy in that store, but they took more time than they had to with me, and I appreciated them putting me at ease. Who would have thought that a pawn shop would have treated me with more respect and less attitude than the others (who I'm biting my lip not to name....)

Editorial Review. Jewelry collateral lending business for those looking to buy, sell or make a loan on a piece of jewlery or fine art.

Amazing deals. A friend recommended that I buy a refurbished watch from these guys... ended up getting a rolex at about 15% of what i would have paid in a store... one of my most amazing buys ever...

Made friends with the guy at the counter (Ben)... and he actually went out and found a new stone for my now wife's engagement ring. Again, an amazing deal: about 20% below the cost of Blue Nile diamonds... best price in town.

I did not have to get a loan from them... but this would definitely be the first and only place to go for a loan on jewelry... they are true jewelers and would be one of the only people i would trust who could understand the value of a rare piece-

Very Understanding and willing to help. when I was in a bit of a bind. The staff was very professional and was very willing to help educate me with jewlery terminology and diamond quality. They also pride themselves on CONFIDENTIALITY! I would recommend this place to anyone. I've never seen a pawn shop with Bulgari and Cartier in their display case.

Helped me out of a tight spot. No one ever wants to have tosee a pawn broker, but they were nice and professional. Iliked that they deal with jewelry exclusively, and they were cheaper than the other shops that freaked me out a bit. I never want to havetopawn anything again, but if Ido, I'll be going back there.
