Found this cozy little bar while visiting and had the time of my life! A great place to chummy up with the locals if you're in town!
I wish I stayed home.... Was almost empty, no wonder the drink were too pricey! everything was too pricey... After my friend arrived we just left somewhere else...
Average bar, but way to narrow. I can understand why some people like it. We stopped by after visiting Loft 11, don't bother. Wish is nothing bad, nice crowd, but gets easily packed, due to size. The bar takes up most of the place and the music is way loud. Theres no dance floor and its a bar folks. Anyway, my only problem is the how narrow the place is.
If you like a tiny packed, wall-to-wall crowded venue. then this is your place. the drinks were ok but my biggest gripe is the size of the bar. i went to anu bar on 6th a couple weeks ago and even though that venue is considered small, wish is like half the size with NO dance area. and along with the size of the venue it was so packed my friends and i had tons of difficulty navigating the narrow walkway (getting bumped into and spilling drinks or having it spilled on us as we went). the dance music was decent but very average for s.f. it wasn't until a guest dj from the internationally known "dirtybirds" showed up that the music got MUCH better. unfortunately, the scenesters & amateurs had no clue about the music and the crowd began to thin out. so, other than the occasional guest dj's that may be dj'ing, there isn't any real reason to go to wish again.
Great on weekdays I assume. This place gets PACKED on weekends. I liked it a lot because of the great music being spun. However, it reminds me of an LA bar with how packed it is. I love the vibe, the music and the drinks... just regulate the door a bit.
Perfect place to boogie or lounge..
This place serves up some awesome cocktails as well some of the best dj's above ground. I love the atmosphere and the snug dance floor and although some aren't dancing but it always seems like they would like to be dancing.
This spot is great after work, Friday nights, or after dinner at Sushi Groove.
A SoMa DJ lounge serving exceptional cocktails to a packed house..
In Short
Mirrors above the bar and window-lined walls keep this hallway of a space from feeling cramped. Lots of bench seating and cocktail tables let the after-work crowd relax. It's all about drinking and looking fine here. The lounge offers extended happy-hour specials and DJ-fueled background beats for unpretentious nine-to-fivers. In the later hours, it hosts an ever-changing lineup of high-energy parties for the fashion forward.
Great Spot for after work. Nice and chill and they make the best Scooby Snacks! I enjoy the weekdays after work where they play good music and its not so crowded. Thanks!
Best bar in SoMa. This is a great place! I love the location, and loved the space The staff couldn't be more friendly. From what i hear, it gets extremely crowded on the weekends. I went on a weekday night, and loved it.
Favorite bar!. I love this place. Always a mainstay and always recommend it to friends. Great value on drinks, fabulous music, great ambience & decor. Crowd is diverse, fun, hip, of many races & ages, but never pretentious.
laid-back crowd, but not boring. there was a good mixed crowd (maybe spilloever from the other bars and clubs in teh area). it was low-key but was still clean, classy, and had a great drinks menu. i'm used to sendig tequila down in shots, but the chamucos tequila is a great one to sip. yummmmy. both the girl and guy bartending that night gave great service. the music was a bit genric, but it was fun to see the dj and his friends dancing and having a great time in the back.
