The cat is out of the bag on this underground speakeasy.. In Short
With deep, plush booths and can't-see-straight mood lighting, this cleaned-up hole-in-the-wall is perfect for getting lost or found. DJs trump live sounds nearly every night of the week, spinning everything from '60s to retro French pop. The crowds love it and pack the dance floor to sardine levels on weekends while bartenders keep the beer and cocktails coming. A mural of an old Hollywood-style starlet perched atop a crescent moon dominates one wall.

I Dig it.... Been going there on and off for a few years now, and it's always had a very pleasant atmosphere. You don't feel a million eyes on you when you walk in. No attitude, decent djs, and cheapish drinks. Go check it out...

My favorite neighborhood bar. The Hush Hush draws a cool SF "kick-back and let's have some fun" crowd--you can just hang out in a booth or bust some moves on their dancefloor in the back. They pour good drinks (and they're not very expensive.) And they have a fun happy hour there every other Friday called Knees Up--it has PBR for .25 a pint! Their weekend parties draw a fun crowd too. I always make new friends at this bar.

Midweek Spot. Excellent option if you're looking for a smaller intimate club spinning great d&d/jungle. A few blocks off the Mission axis. Papst Blue Ribbon is $2 a pint, other good specials

wash your panty's nextdoor. the hush hush is a sweet lounge. a good kickback feel. not really a pickup joint, just a laidback atmosphere. mostly the local mission scene, though you do get those fancy pacific hieghts folks lookin' to get that street feel and play bad boy/girl. but it's all good. nice music, mostly resident dj's, though you get some bands movin' through often enough. decent selection of brews, redbull on tap, etc.. usually sweet-lookin' girls and attentive enough guys playing bartender. you can even wash your panty's nextdoor. one of the nicer joints in the mission...

chill place with a great crowd... Not the best pick up place but is definitely a chill place that you can hang and listen to good music.

Ssssshhhh!. A groovey little spot that is a best kept secret for many locals. Hip, friendly and always great music!
