Try the vegetarian lasagna and quesadilas - very tasty! Comes with fresh salad and a wonderful dark Italian dressing. Inexpensive.

A good place to plan a revolution

Macondo has all the trapings of a great cafe: stong coffee, cheap eats, lots of locals. It also has a large colleciton of old protest posters, and bohemia paraphanalia. Comfortable tables and couches for reading, studying, or like many of the patrons - organizing. Much of the conversation seems to regard non-profits. Cafe Macondo is about as local as Valecia and 16th can get.
