Nothing to rave about

by antwon_ego at Citysearch

If you like a sugar infused crust with a hint of stale cardboard, this is the pizza for you. My roommate orders Deja Vu pizza at least once a week and it never proves itself as a worthy pie. The pizza is never fresh, always chewy. The ingredients taste like they are not properly stored, all around bad news. If this is what you call pizza I'm sticking to Mama Celeste (face up). I will say that I have only tried thier pizza via delivery and I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt that if you dine in you might have a better experience.

thanks.

  • Pros: nice box
  • Cons: box tastes better than the pizza

Best Pizza Place in the City

by gretchenapplegate at Citysearch

Yummy pizza with thick crust and fresh toppings. A large really is a large (18"). And the customer service is great.

The guys that work there are really friendly and if you ask nicely they will give you extra sauce, ranch or whatever you need. I once left my extra sauce and they actually called me minutes later to remind me. I don't find that kind of customer service in this city often.

  • Pros: Great Pizza, Great Prices and Great Customer Service!

Awesome, Cheap Pizza!

by lolasmommy at Citysearch

Deja Vu is the best place for cheap, high quality pizza in the Mission. With sub-par places in this neighborhood charging a lot more than that, this is a real find. The crust is thick and fluffy inside/crusty outside, there are always piles of toppings, and the sauce is to die for! If you like a thinner crust, make sure to let them know. If you love sauce, ask for extra, as they don't put a whole lot on. Delivery's fast and they have some of the BEST pizza-place coupons in the city!

  • Pros: Cheap, Fresh Ingredients, Fast Delivery
  • Cons: Parking

Great Pizza

by udumbshiet at Citysearch

Super fresh pizza when you order by the slice. Instead of just adding the additional toppings to a cheese pizza to create your slice, they actually start from scratch with the dough. Nice crunchy pizza with a buttery topping. And their pasta's are pretty good too.

  • Pros: cheap, crunchy
  • Cons: parking sucks

Really, really fresh slices

by vassariggy at Citysearch

Normally when you order a slice of pie at a pizza place, the guy behind the counter cuts off a wedge from a cheese pizza, tops it if you want other stuff, throws it in the oven, and pops it out 4 minutes later. However, at Deja Vu, the philosophy is quite different: I have never elsewhere seen a slice hand-made fresh when you order it! The pizza itself is average, as is the ambience. Like all other places in SF, the slices are upwards of $2 to $2.50: how did the price double from NYC all over SF?

  • Pros: Fresh
  • Cons: Average Quality, Average Value
