Great date place. I took a date to Tokyo Go Go last Friday and our experience was perfect. My date loved the sake cocktails and creative rolls. We sat at the sushi bar and were well take care of by the friendly sushi chefs.
You gotta try this place.... I recently moved back to the area and I was so happy to find Tokyo Go Go still at it. The food is more delicious than I remember. The sashimi melted in my mouth and the rolls were perfectly balanced. What a great spot!
A delight!. I was so happy to stumble upon this gem while visiting San Francisco. The service was friendly and helpful. The sushi was the best I've had, fresh, innovative and addictive. Thanks for a great meal, I will be sure to visit again soon.
Nice Mid-Week Surprise. I had the most delicious dinner at Tokyo a Go Go recently. Thanks to all the positive recent posts on this city search, I decided to give this place a try. I had been hesitant due to negative reviews a while back. Wow. This place is great. The husband and I showed up pretty early mid week and the place was just starting to fill up. We had great service and some really yummy dishes to share. The kobe beef tataki was the stand out. A close runner up was the tuna and salmon tartare. We also had the potato croquettes and the Off the Wall roll, which was a little fishy. Overall it was definitely a nice mid-week dinner out. I am sure we will be back.
Good sushi. Great sushi, kind of annoying scene what with all the Marina girls in tube tops and kind of rude waitresses. But the fish is great. Stick to the specialty rolls.
Best Sushi in SF. I could honestly eat sushi everyday, and if I had to choose a place to eat it, it would be Tokyo Go Go. I have been going there for several years now and I am conviced that no other sushi place in the city matches their quality and creativity. Others come close, but the Go Go reigns supreme. Trust me, next time you are there try the Spider Roll, Azteca Roll, Kamikaze Roll, Sake Nigiri and Hamachi Nigiri. No other Spider Roll comes close to this one. Not only is the sushi great, but they have a great wine list as well.
My favorite after work treat!. My favorite time to go to Tokyo GoGo is actually on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights because it's less of a crowd. I work in the neighborhood and find this friendly spot to be my favorite indulgence. Sure, there's a lot of sushi in the Mission, but sitting here at the bar, the chefs make you feel like you're at home. I recommend trying some of the specialty items-- they've convinced this Midwestern girl that monkfish liver is actually something to crave!
Yummy. Very fresh sushi, blissful drinks, very friendly staff, good times....
Fav!!. I had couple rolls all turn out really cool and nice presentation, great cocktail but service kind of slow. Anyway not bad to have a try
Im laughing about the previous review.
It is soo obvious it is someone who works there. "the hostess was nice to us" responding to many bad comments about their hostesses... then commenting they had a great night after drinking FEW BOTTLES OF SAKE' with only 2 of them.. boy you guys can drink ???
I ate there it was ok. I di not have an incident but defientaly its best days are gone... they all seem very amatures in service, effort and old gone design
