GROSS!

My food was AWFUL!!! I decided to try Hunan Garden because I wanted delivery and the reviews seemed good. BIG MISTAKE!!! The chicken satay was so tough that I could barely even bite it even with my molar teeth! When I called them back to tell them about the awful quality of my food, they said "different people make it different, that's how we make it." I said you make it so that you can't bite into it and they just kept repeating "that's how we make it." They took no responsibility for the awful quality of the food. They didn't even send sauce for the potstickers and when I told them this, they said I must be mistaken - to look in the bag again. When I told them I looked again, they said I still must be mistaken. Thus, not only was the food AWFUL, but the service was even worse. If you're looking for decent Chinese delivery, I strongly advise you to choose another restaurant! I will NEVER eat here again. If it were the last restaurant in San Francisco, I'd get on a bus to the next nearest city before I ate here again. What a waste of time and money. Terrible.

Fresh Chinese Food

I have never seen the inside of Hunan Garden, as I always call in for delivery. They are always very speedy delivering piping hot food. The flavor of the food is terrific and never marred by oil that needs changing. The Vegetable Pot Stickers and the Eggrolls are delicious. I also recommend Sesame Beef.

Great food, speedy delivery

I've been getting deliveries from Hunan Garden for about 3 years now. The food is excellent, I recommend the "complete dinner" value which adds tasty Hot&Sour soup, an egg roll, and steamed rice to any entree. Deliveries are always hot and prompt.

I actually went to the restaurant itself for the first time last week. The location is great, on Market near the Orbit Room. The interior is sort of generic SF Chinese restaurant, but on the airy side. The service is lightning-quick, and the $5 lunch specials are a great value with huge portions.

Recommend: Hot&Sour soup, Shrimp w/Broccoli, Sweet&Sour Chicken, any Chow Mein.
