Wonderful inexpensive Thai restaurant. The food was great, inexpensive, and pleasant quiet surroundings, very good service. Three of us had three entrees, one appetizer, two glasses of wine, two beers. Total cost $68. All the food was very good and wee took lots home.

Authentic Thai Food. We have been going to Malai Thai for a few years now and the service has always been outstanding! The food is awesome! Not many people know that you can request how much "heat" you want in your food. So if you like your cury spicy, don't hesitate to ask. Make sure you order the wrapped catfish dish. It requires 15 minutes of extra cooking time, but it's worth the wait. Best part about Malai Thai is that they deliver and there's no minimum order for delivery. They also cater in case you didn't know that.

Much better than the current rating. We love Malai Thai! A great delivery place. Always faster than they think. I highly recommend the Gang Pac. Really great Thai food for a great price. We order from here on a weekly basis and never get sick of it.

Good Thai in the Mission. Tasty noodle dishes, no crowds, good break from the other mexican fare of the Mission. Eat in or take out: food is just as good and hot, both in terms of temperature and spicyness.

above user must have had off night. I have been a regular customer of Malai Thai for just over 12 years. I have learned over the years what are the tastiest menu items, and what to avoid. The above negative review must have been a fluke! Try any of the soups, the cucumber salad and peanut sauce are the best I have ever encountered, and the Gang Gai (a yellow chicken curry with yams instead of white potatoes) tops the charts. Ping Neur is a great beef dish with a delectable chili lime sauce. Pad Thai Pak (a veggie pad thai) is also amazing. If you order the above dishes, I feel confident that you will enjoy your experience!! Oh-the service and ambience are also great for a casual dining experience. (I only gave the food a seven because of the hit or miss menu items--everything I mentioned are 9's and 10's)

serious decline. A few years ago, Malai Thai was decent. Not mind blowing, but decent Thai food if you were in the area. However, the last time we came here the food was downright nasty. None of it was fresh, and the chicken in their green curry dish literally tasted strongly of freezer burn! Not a good sign. The chicken itself was tough, the curries and other sauces were all watered down and mild, and the vegetables tended to be greasy and/or soggy. Just nothing good to recommend this place at all. We were bummed to see this place slide downhill so dramatically.
