Best Indian Food in America. OK, hyperbole in the title notwithstanding, I'm from the UK---second home of fantastic curries (first home being India, of course). Good Indian food is difficult to get our here in the States. I lived in Denver for three years, where the India House did a pretty great job of good breads and wonderful flavored dishes, but apart from that it's all been pretty much a muchness.

Now I live in SF, though: this place just like home. Lush, rich, spicy, dangerous... delicious.

Highly recommended.

Great Veg dishes..... We discovered this place a couple of years back when I needed to forgo all meat and dairy foods. Yes, they do have meat and dairy items on their menu, but, if you're familiar with Indian cooking then you know that there is a plethora of dishes you can indulge in that are strictly vegetarian...and this is the place. Fantastically seasoned dishes, breads, and desserts make this a must stop when you're SOMA in S.F. The interior murals area really a blast to view, and the patio dining is a plus as well. Parking has never been a hassle here either. There is a lunchtime buffet that is offered M-F that will give you a better idea of the dishes they offer. Enjoy!

Great Delivery Service!. Not only was the delivery service fast, but the food was fresh, authentic, and delicious. It's not the cheapest, but worth every penny and more. I would highly recommend this restaurant for take out.

Best of SF. Please, if you've had better nan than that which is made here, let me know where to get it! This is the best, chicken masala, lamb curry, nan, and sweet lassi I've been able to find outside of New york.

Plesant Fare. I've been here a few times and the food has always been good. With such a huge menu, you're bound to find something you like. It's small, yet warm and relaxing. Also quiet--good for couples. Not the most outstanding Indian food, but if you're in SOMA, it's tasty pre-club dining.

Best Indian!!. This is the palce for Indian food. Great waiters and friendly bordering romantic interior. Order the Chicken Korma for sure with an order of Naan Bread. You will not be sorry. Ask your waiter to suggest the dessert, it is always more fun!!
