This place is awesome!. Couldn't really ask for a nicer day in the city. When you have to be at work you might as well break up the day by meeting a few friends for lunch at Mars Bar. I ordered the Ahi - tuna salad but the tuna was out for the day. Instead I ordered the three tacos and loved em! The back patio is a great escape from the rest of the city! I will be back again and again.

SoMa bar with cocktails, appetizers and a heated patio.. The big draw here is a large patio complete with bar and several tables, although billiards, an extra-long happy hour and a surprisingly tasty menu of Cali favorites--ahi tuna with wasabi aioli on brioche, pullled pork, and a chicken sandwich with warm brie and crisp apple slices on a baguette--reel them in too. Flatsreens hang above a bar that offers a handful of tap beers and specialty cocktails, like James' Giant Peach (fruit-flavored vodka, citrus essence, fresh lemon and lime) and an Oatmeal Cookie (Bailey's, butterscotch liqueur, Goldschlager) to a diverse crowd of neighborhood residents, cops, hard-partying young pretty things, and the occasional SoMa sketchball.

High Marks
"
Really amazingly attentive service without the attitude you get from some clubs!" (Fabu2000, Citysearch user)

"Nice patio in back allowed our group to sit together and enjoy finger food and a few rounds of drinks." (mark, Citysearch user)

Low Marks
"This bar has potential to be a nice hangout...however, the problem is that the drinks are small and more expensive than comparable bars." (expertrater, Citysearch user)

A spot to quench your thirst. We went to Mars after work to celebrate some results. Nice patio in back allowed our group to sit together and enjoy finger food and a few rounds of drinks. Our waitress provided good service and met all of our needs. Pool table allowed for some entertainment as well as the Giants on the tv screens.
